DEKABEN BS

DEKABEN BS is an aqueous solution of Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate preservatives. In formulations such as shampoos DEKABEN BS can be sufficient as sole preservative system, in other formulations it is ideal as a fungicidal preservative to complete the efficacy of other preservatives. It can be easily incorporated in the aqueous phase of formulations. Due to the nature of organic acids, the pH of the formulation has an effect on the preservative efficacy, it should be adjusted to a value low enough for sufficient preservative efficacy, a value of below 5.5 is advised. DEKABEN BS is suitable for vegans, and is halal certified. Both preservatives are listed as authorised preservative COSMOS and NATRUE cosmetics.
