MICROCAL 25

Microcal 25 is a fine calcium carbonate powder derived from pure white marble. It is characterized by minimum coarse particles and a controlled particle size distribution making it ideal for various coating and construction applications. Microcal 25 has a mean particle size of 4.0 microns providing excellent opacity and hiding power in coatings. Its high brightness value of 94 and neutral pH of 9 allows it to be used as a brightening pigment. The hydrophilic surface nature and low moisture content of 0.2% ensures it has good dispersion properties. With a tapped density of 1.3 g/cc and oil absorption value of 18 cc/100g, Microcal 25 can replace more expensive fillers and extenders in various formulations. Its high calcium carbonate content of 97% and low acid solubility of 0.8% makes Microcal 25 a cost effective solution for many coating and building material applications.
