MICA 1-K

MICA 1-K is a high aspect ratio mineral product used in advanced material applications. MICA 1-K has a mean particle size of 55 microns and aspect ratio of 40, making it well suited for applications requiring reinforcement and greater resistance to moisture, heat, light or chemicals. As a platy mineral, MICA 1-K offers beneficial rheological properties and is chemically inert. It can substantially increase stiffness and heat resistance, while promoting dimensional stability and improving electrical insulation properties in advanced materials. MICA 1-K also controls shrinkage and reduces cracking in advanced material formulations.
