Nyglos grades are high-purity, ultrafine, high aspect ratio wolastonites. Wollastonite (calcium metasilicate or CaSiO3) is a naturally occurring mineral with a needle-like particle shape. It is usually white and can withstand temperatures up to 1540°C. Wollastonite is a highly functional, value-added performance reinforcement that adds functionality in a vast range of applications. Its high aspect-ratio makes wollastonite beneficial in many physical reinforcement applications for a broad range of industrial and consumer products.
